How to change from Retro Paper_Lantern to Basic
cPanel version 11.48 is here and the Paper_Lantern theme is shipped with a “retro style”. The retro-style features the old icons from the x3 theme. It is designed to help the transition between x3 and the new theme. We’re receiving a large number of tickets asking for help to fix the theme.
You can change the style to “Paper_Lantern Basic” which will allow you and your customers to use the new theme.
To change from the retro version login to cPanel and them in the search bar type “style” click “Change Style” and you will see the available cPanel themes you can use. The very first one is “basic” click apply next to the theme and the page will reload with the new Paper_Lantern theme.
NOTE: The FlatPanel theme for resellers has now been retired and is no longer available. We will be removing this in the coming days to prevent any confusion.
Customers using Shoutcast should use the Sonic theme. If you select this theme backend then you will need to manually set the account back to basic or the end-user will not have access to cPanel
