IP Management Controls
In November, First2Host will start a BETA trial on the delegation of IP management controls to our customers. This means our customers will have more control over the IPs and subnets assigned to services.
IP Management
NVMe VPS customers and users who have a dedicated IP assigned to a Web Hosting or Reseller Web Hosting account will notice a new area located under the Support tab. The new menu item will be labelled “IP Manager”.
In this section, users will now have control over the PTR records assigned to your IPs and subnets. Users can update the PTR records and at this point, the support team will no longer accept requests to modify the PTR records on IPs.
Going Further
The BETA trial will run from November to the end of December and should the trial be successful from January 2021, we plan to delegate further control over IPs and subnets.
The IP Manager will support the enable and disabling of DDoS protection on a per IP basis. The IP manager will also support the unblocking of IPs when our Anti-Spam protection system (VADE) has been enabled. This will allow users to unblock port 25 on IPs without contacting the support team.
We’re working hard to fully automate the way you can manage your services without having to contact the support team. Freeing up your time and reducing the load on our support team.
